Juman Jappar is a Professor at the Department of International Relations and World Economy and the Director of the Center for International Applied Research at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Doctor of Economics, Professor. Honorary Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is also a laureate of the State Prizes named after K. I. Satpayev, Ch. Ch. Valikhanov, and Academician A. I. Baraev. Scientific research is devoted to the problem of developing the theoretical foundations of managing complex socio-economic systems in order to transition to a model of sustainable development. Under the scientific supervision, 7 doctoral, 22 candidate, 5 PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) and 86 master's theses in economics have been successfully defended. He has authored more than 500 scientific and methodological publications in Kazakhstan and in leading peer-reviewed journals abroad, including over 30 scientific monographs and 18 textbooks and teaching aids for universities specializing in economics. He holds 5 authorship certificates and has a Hirsch index of 7 (Scopus).
