Rakhymbay Zabira Saparkyzy is a senior lecturer of the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2009, she entered the full-time bachelor's program “Geodesy and Cartography” of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2013, she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management and received the qualification "Bachelor of Engineering and Technology". She was a full- time master's student in the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management from 2013 to 2015, and successfully working on her dissertation "Navigating the City: OSM-based tourist maps and apps". Rakhymbay Zabira won a grant under the program "gSmart - Spatial ICT Infrastructures for Smart Places" of Erasmus Mundus project and thus entered the University of Salzburg for the international master's program "Applied Geoinformatics" in 2014. Zabira successfully completed in 2016 this master's program and received the qualification of "Master of Science (MSc)". Rakhymbay Zabira actively participated in the scientific and social life of the faculty and the university, made presentations at scientific seminars and participated in various scientific competitions. In 2014, she took the 2nd place for the best report in the Republican competition of scientific research works. In 2014, Rakhymbay Z. was trained in the 2nd Training workshop on Space Technology for Disaster Mitigation, which was held in Beijing, China. Zabira was a member of the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE) in 2014-2015. She has scientific publications in the form of articles and abstracts.
