ALIPBEKI Ongarbek Alipbekuly was born in 1951 in the Zhambyl oblast (Merke district, village of Kazakhstan). From 1958 to 1967, he attended schools in the Shu district, and in 1972 he graduated from the Kazakh State Agricultural Institute in Almaty with a degree in agricultural chemistry and soil science, becoming a Scientist Agronomist. While at the institute, he twice won the All-Union Student Festivals of the USSR and achieved the Master of Sports standard in track and field. He began his career in 1972 at the All-Union Agricultural Research Institute of the USSR, located in the military town of Gvardeysky, Kordai District. He worked there from 1992 to 1992 as a laboratory assistant, senior laboratory assistant, junior researcher, and senior researcher. In 1984, he received a PhD in biological sciences, specialising in radioecology. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, from 1992 to 1998, O. A. ALIPBEKI established a legal entity and actively commercialised his scientific achievements in the Zhambyl oblast. From 1998 to 2003, he worked at the Kazakh Research Institute of Plant Protection (Rakhat village, Karasai district, Almaty oblast), where he served as a senior researcher, laboratory head, and department head. From 2003 to 2010, he worked at the Kazakh National Agrarian University (Almaty) (Associate Professor, Professor, Head of Department, Director of the Information Technology Center), receiving a Doctor of Biological Sciences degree (2006) and the title of Professor of Biology (2008). In 2008, Professor O.A. ALIPBEKI was recognised as the Best Employee of a Higher Education Institution in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2010, he completed a professional development course in "Monitoring and Photogrammetry" at the University of Cambridge (UK) as part of the Bolashak program, and he was invited to join the National Company "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" (Astana). Until 2016, he worked at this company as Deputy Head of the Space Technology Development Program, making a significant contribution to implementing the "First Stage of the National Space Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and commissioning two Earth remote-sensing satellites. He organised the first national school for personnel in the Republic of Kazakhstan's space industry and implemented dozens of cutting-edge business projects, including the "National Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
