       I am Nurgul Sabazbekovna Mamytova, PhD, a senior lecturer in the Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. I was born on August 5, 1975, in the Almaty region. I am Kazakh. I graduated from the Faculty of Biology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 1996 with a bachelor's degree, and a master's degree in 1998. From 1998 to 2018, I worked as a laboratory assistant, research associate, and senior research associate in the Laboratory of Grain Biochemistry at the M.A. Aitkhozhin Institute of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. From 2018 to 2019, I worked as a senior lecturer in the Department of Biology at the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University. From 2011 to 2014, she completed her doctoral studies in the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In April 2015, she was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biology (6D060700) (Order No. 581 of April 28, 2015). Her doctoral dissertation topic was "The Role of Different Molecular Forms of α-Amylase in the Formation of Grain Quality in Spring Wheat Varieties." In 2013, she completed a research internship at the Rothamsted Research Center under the supervision of Dr. E.L. Phillips (Harpenden, UK). While working in the Cereal Biochemistry Laboratory at the M.A. Aikhozhin Institute of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, she participated in a number of projects. 2015–2017 – GF Project “Studying the Role of an α-Amylase Inhibitor in Regulating Pre-Sowing Resistance of Wheat and Developing an Immunochemical Method for Inhibitor Detection.” 2015–2017 – PF Project “Development of a Scientific Framework for Improving Wheat and Potato Resistance to Fusarium and Viroids Based on Molecular and Cellular Biology Methods and the Creation of Initial Lines and Accelerated Selection Diagnostics Based on These Methods.” 2018–2019 – GF Project “Study of Chitin- and β-Glucan-Binding Enzymes in Pathogenesis and Their Use for Testing Wheat Resistance to Fusarium.” The research yielded primary data on the regulation of α-amylase synthesis and regulation by phytohormones GA, ABA, and carbohydrate metabolites. I have experience in research studying the isozyme composition of various Kazakh wheat varieties and lines. I have over 70 scientific publications, including Q1 and Q3 publications in the Thomson Reuters and Scopus databases. My h-index in Scopus is 3.
