Autobiography

In 1991, she graduated from the Faculty of Biology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and in 2000, she completed her postgraduate studies at the Department of Microbiology. In 2001, she defended her Candidate of Biological Sciences dissertation (equivalent to PhD) in the specialty 03.00.07 – Microbiology on the topic “Study of the Properties of Biocatalysts Based on Cells Immobilized on Modified Carriers” at the Dissertation Council of the Institute of Microbiology and Virology (Almaty). From 1991 to 1995, she worked as a junior researcher at the Department of Microbiology. From 1995 to the present, she has been working as a researcher, senior researcher, and leading researcher at the Research Institute for Problems of Biology and Biotechnology; the Research Institute for Environmental Problems; and the LLP “Republican Collection of Microorganisms” at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Since 2000, she has been teaching at the Faculty of Biology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, successively holding the positions of lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor, and acting professor. Her Hirsch index (h-index) is 5. She is the author of more than 100 scientific publications, including 6 articles indexed in the Web of Science system with a CiteScore percentile above 35%, 22 papers published in journals recommended by the authorized body, and 2 monographs published in the last five years. As a scientific advisor, she has supervised 4 prize-winning students in the Republican Research Competition (1st and 2nd places — 3 bachelor’s and 1 master’s student in 2018 and 2023) and has supervised 1 successfully defended PhD dissertation (2022). Currently, she is a member of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology and serves as the coordinator of the educational program “8D05110 – Virology.” Her scientific and pedagogical experience totals 30 years, and her overall research career spans 35 years.
