Fatima Zilpikarovna Mamedova graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Oriental Philology of Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages in 2003. In the same year, she was awarded a grant and completed an international academic internship at Cairo University (Cairo, Egypt) from August 9 to September 3, 2003. In 2009, she successfully defended her Candidate of Philological Sciences dissertation entitled “The Cognitive Nature of Antonymy and Its Discursive Realization in Structurally Different Languages” (based on Arabic and Russian materials). Her teaching experience in higher education amounts to 21 years. In the 2021–2022 academic year, she was appointed through a competitive selection process as Senior Lecturer at the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Since May 2025, she has been working as Associate Professor of the same department. She has published more than 25 academic articles, including 5 in journals recommended by the national authorized body and 2 in journals indexed in the Scopus database. Her Scopus h-index is 3. In January 2023, she completed advanced professional training at the International Academy of the Arabic Language (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia). She actively participates in international academic conferences and forums, including those held in Saudi Arabia (2023), at the Investors Forum Congress in Sharjah (UAE) in 2024 and 2025, as well as in international academic events in Azerbaijan (2025). From 2013 to 2023, she served as a member of the jury of the Republican Student Olympiad in Foreign Languages. From 2021 to 2024, she was responsible for coordinating student research activities at the department. Under her supervision, students have repeatedly won prize places in national academic competitions. In 2023, a team from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, under her leadership, took third place among non-Arabic-speaking countries at the International Arabic Debate Olympiad held in Doha, Qatar. Since 2015, she has been a certified trainer preparing students for international academic competitions and debate tournaments in Arabic, following the Qatar Debate, OIC, and United Nations models.
