Autobiography

I, Uskelenova Asel Talapovna, was born on 08.08.1974 in Almaty (Alma-Ata) into a family of employees. Ethnicity: Kazakh. Educational trajectory: In September 1981, I entered the 1st grade of Secondary School No. 2 in Taraz (Dzhambul) and graduated from this school in May 1991. From 1991 to 1996, I studied at the Zhambyl Institute of Light and Food Industry, majoring in 0714 – International Economic Relations, in Taraz (Dzhambul). From 1998 to 2002, I studied in the postgraduate program of the Institute of Economics of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (IE SC MES RK), majoring in 08.00.01 – Economic Theory. In 2004, I defended my Candidate of Sciences dissertation on the topic “Problems of Attracting Investments into the National Economy: Theory and Practice”. Scientific advisor – Academician Koshanov A.K. On 08.08.2010, I defended my Doctor of Sciences dissertation in specialties 08.00.01 and 08.00.05 on the topic: “Economic Growth under Cyclical Development and Globalization: Theory, Methodological Approaches, and Management Mechanisms (Based on the Example of the Republic of Kazakhstan)”. The academic degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences was awarded (Protocol No. 5 dated 13.07.2011). Scientific consultant – Academician Mamyrov N.K. Professional interests: Issues of economic growth rates and the level of democracy, problems of the knowledge economy, formation of growth points of the “new economy” (non-resource sector enterprises), agricultural specialization of Kazakhstan, as well as challenges and opportunities for business development and women's entrepreneurship.
