Argynbek Kunanbaiuly is a linguistics specialist. He was born on November 20, 1997, in
Bayan-Ölgii, Mongolia. In 2004, he enrolled in the first grade at M. Sengirbayev School in
Koksu District, Taldykorgan. In 2015, he graduated with honors (Altyn Belgi) from School No.
20 in the Ile District of Almaty Region. From 2015 to 2019, he studied at the Faculty of
Philology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, earning a bachelor’s degree. From 2019 to
2021, he successfully completed a master’s program with distinction. Under the supervision
of Professor B. Sagyndykuly, he defended his dissertation on “The Theory and Practice of
Syllabology.”
Since 2021, he has been teaching at the Department of Kazakh Linguistics named after A.
Baitursynuly at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, specializing in language and
literature training. He delivers specialized courses on the archetypal reconstruction of
language history, medieval linguistic monuments, the functional-communicative features of
Kazakh grammar, political discourse, and phonological principles. Starting from the 2024–
2025 academic year, he has been appointed as a Senior Lecturer at the Language Department of
Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU). He has developed programs on speech culture and
Abai’s poetics for students of the Economics and Physics faculties. Additionally, he teaches
the course “General Kazakh Language” for international students at KBTU. Argynbek
Kunanbaiuly also conducts various educational seminars on language and cognition, writing
ethics, and Kazakh discourse structure for students and literary enthusiasts at several
universities across the country.
