Autobiography

Gulmira Yessenovna Kassenova graduated in 1994 from the Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering with the qualification of Engineer-Economist, majoring in Economics and Management in Construction. After graduating from the academy in 1994, she began her professional career as an economist at Pusk LLP. She started her teaching career on February 2, 1998. From 1998 to 2009, she worked as a lecturer, senior lecturer, and acting associate professor at the Department of Accounting, Audit, and Financial Market Indicators of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. In 2007, she successfully defended her Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhD equivalent) dissertation in the specialty 08.00.05 – Economics and Management of the National Economy (by sectors and fields of activity) on the topic: “Socio-economic aspects of the mechanism for effective organization of mortgage lending in a developing market system (based on the materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan).” From 2009 to 2016, she worked as an Associate Professor at the Department of Finance and Audit at Almaty Management University (ALMU). From 2016 to 2018, she served as an Acting Associate Professor at the Department of Business and Management of Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University). From 2018 to the present, she has been working at the Department of Finance and Accounting of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Over the course of her academic career, G. Y. Kassenova has published more than 60 scientific works, including 5 textbooks, 3 monographs, 2 research articles indexed in the international Scopus database, 3 research articles published in the E3S Web of Conferences (Proceedings), and 10 articles in journals recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education (CQASHE). Since 2003, she has been regularly improving her professional qualifications by completing numerous advanced training courses and workshops and has obtained approximately 25 professional certificates.
