Autobiography

I began my professional career in higher education in 2000, consistently developing academic and managerial expertise in the fields of finance, accounting, and auditing. In 2010, I defended my Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhD equivalent) dissertation in the specialty “Accounting, Audit, and Statistics,” establishing a solid research foundation in financial analysis and control. From 2010 to 2014, I completed doctoral studies (PhD) in Finance and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Between 2019 and 2025, I served as Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where I was responsible for the strategic development of academic programs, research activities, and human capital. In December 2022, I was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since 2025, I have been working as a Research Professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. I am the Principal Investigator of the research project IRN AP19679105, focused on the transformation of ESG financial instruments in the context of the development of the green economy in Kazakhstan, and a participant in the national research program BR21882352 in the field of public audit and national resource management. In 2024–2025, I completed a research internship at George Washington University (USA) under the international Bolashak Scholarship Program (500 Scholars) in the field of Educational Management. I hold the Professional Accountant of the Republic of Kazakhstan certificate and a national auditor qualification. Under my academic supervision, PhD and DBA doctoral dissertations have been successfully defended. I am the author of more than 12 publications in international peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, as well as over 50 publications in journals recommended by the national quality assurance authorities. My h-index is 4 in Scopus and 5 in Google Scholar.
