Montanay Elmira Azimbaykyzy was born on October 17, 1991, in Kenen Äzirbayev village, Zhambyl Region, Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2010–2014, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Turkish Language and Literature from İnönü Üniversitesi (Malatya, Republic of Turkey). In 2014–2018, she completed her Master’s degree at the same university in the specialty “Teacher of Turkish Language and Literature.” She defended her Master’s thesis entitled “Translation of B. Sokpakbayev’s Novel ‘Journey to Childhood’ into Turkish and Its Educational Values” with the grade “Excellent” and was awarded the degree of Master of Arts (MA). In 2020–2023, she pursued doctoral studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. She successfully defended her PhD dissertation titled “Linguocultural Components in the Formation of Kazakh and Turkish National Clothing Discourse” and obtained the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Since 2018, she has been working as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Her research interests include linguoculturology, discourse theory, semiotics of national clothing, Kazakh–Turkish linguistic relations, Turkish language and literature, Oriental studies
