Autobiography

Beketayeva Meruert Turganbekkyzy graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda State University with a bachelor’s degree and the qualification of “Physics Teacher.” In 2010, she completed her master’s degree at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the specialty “Physics” with the thesis titled “Calculation of Diffusion Processes in Multicomponent Hydrocarbon Gas Mixtures in Air”. In 2015, she completed her PhD studies in the specialty 6D072300 – Technical Physics. The topic of her doctoral dissertation was “Three-Dimensional Modeling of Combustion Processes of Low-Grade Kazakh Coals in Thermal Power Plant Combustion Chambers.” The dissertation was recognized as the “Best Dissertation of 2015”. Since 2010, she has been actively engaged in scientific research. Her research interests include three-dimensional modeling of combustion processes in combustion chambers, optimization of in-furnace processes in industrial boilers at thermal power plants, aimed at the rational and efficient use of fossil fuels and the reduction of anthropogenic environmental impact. She completed a research internship at the Czech Technical University Prague, Czech Republic. She participates in state-funded scientific projects and serves as a reviewer for international scientific journals. Since 2019, she has been a member of the expert commission for state scientific projects. She is the author of 2 monographs related to her dissertation topic and more than 200 scientific publications, including 30 articles published in journals with a non-zero impact factor indexed in international scientometric databases such as Thomson Reuters and Scopus. According to the results of 2016–2021, she was included in the TOP-10 researchers by normalized citations in the SciVal database. She was a nominee for the “Best Young Scientist of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University” competition in 2018. She is listed among the TOP-50 university lecturers of the Republic of Kazakhstan according to the rankings for 2018–2019 and 2022–2024. In 2025, she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor (Docent) in the scientific field 20700 – Energy and Rational Environmental Management.
