Kuantay Boshkayev, Professor of the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics, was born on December 4, 1981, in the Almaty region. From 1999 to 2004, he studied at the Faculty of Physics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) and graduated with the qualifications of physicist, physics teacher, and English language scientific translator. From 2004 to 2006, he completed his Master's studies at KazNU and was awarded the academic degree and qualification of "Master of Physics." From 2006 to 2009, he pursued his PhD studies at KazNU and graduated with the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical Physics. Between 2009 and 2012, he continued his academic studies at the Faculty of Physics of Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), earning a PhD degree in Relativistic Astrophysics. His first doctoral dissertation was written under the supervision of Academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan T.A. Kozhamkulov and M.M. Abdildin on the topic: “The Metric of a Rotating Liquid Sphere Considering Nonlinear Terms in U and S0” and was defended on June 17, 2009. The second doctoral dissertation was written under the supervision of Professor R. Ruffini on the topic “Rotating White Dwarfs and Neutron Stars in General Relativity” and was defended on November 30, 2012, in Rome, Italy. He began his professional career in 2004. He progressed from laboratory assistant to chief research scientist at the Research Institute of Experimental and Theoretical Physics and the National Nanotechnology Laboratory of Open Type at KazNU. At the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics, he passed through all academic stages — from assistant to professor. His scientific interests cover a broad spectrum of fundamental areas: General Relativity, Celestial Mechanics, Relativistic Astrophysics, Physics of Compact Objects, Approximate and Exact Solutions to Einstein's Equations, Dark Matter, Dark Energy, and Cosmology. He actively participates in international scientific conferences held in countries such as Italy, France, Germany, Sweden, Croatia, China, South Korea, India, Belarus, Russia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Cuba, French Polynesia, and others. He is the author of more than 80 scientific publications, including over 50 papers in high-impact journals. He has also published the monograph Neutron Stars, Physics, Properties and Dynamics and two textbooks in Kazakh.
