Autobiography

Yeldar Nuruly graduated from KazNU in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Services (Tourism) from the RG&T Department. In 2017, he received a Master of Science degree in the same specialty at the same university. In 2022, he completed his doctoral studies in the “Public and Local Administration” educational program at the Department of Management of the HSEB, KazNU. He undertook academic internships in Urumqi (China) and Dubai (UAE) in 2013 and 2014. He pursued internships and/or professional development at BelSU NRU (Belgorod, Russia) within the framework of the International YPMS “Pegasus-2015” (2015), at Kodolanyi Janos University of Applied Sciences (Budapest, Hungary) within the Master’s program (2016), at NUST MISIS (Moscow, Russia, 2019), at Akdeniz University (Antalya, Türkiye) under the PhD program (2022), at the University of Shizuoka (Shizuoka, Japan, 2022), at Universiti Putra Malaysia (Serdang, Malaysia, 2024), as well as at the Winter School organized by the SHTM at PolyU (Hong Kong, 2025). From 2015 to 2020, he worked as a project manager at KazNU’s “Science & Technology Park.” Beginning in 2018, he simultaneously served as a Junior Research Fellow and later as a Research Fellow. Since 2019, he has been teaching at the RG&T Department. His achievements include victory in the national competition “Altyn kitap” and the awarding of the “Golden Badge of Youth of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (2020), the State Research Scholarship for Talented Youth (MES RK, 2021), recognition as the “Best Young Scientist of the CIS” (2021), and the title of “Best Young Scientist of Al-Farabi KazNU” (2024). He has participated in over 16 research projects supported by grant and program- targeted funding from the MSHE, the Ministry of Agriculture, “Science Fund” JSC, the MISD, as well as in contract-based projects. He has more than 10 years of research and teaching experience. He has published over 80 research papers, including those indexed in Scopus, WoS, and the RSCI, recommended by the CQASSHE, and presented in conference proceedings. He has co-authored 8 monographs, holds 52 intellectual property documents (including 3 patents for inventions), and has obtained 12 implementation acts for research findings. Since 2019, he has been a member of the “Young Researchers Alliance,” serves as a reviewer for international journals of Taylor & Francis, Elsevier, and Science PG, and sits on the editorial board of the International Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Management.
