Akbota Mukhametzhan is a Lecturer at the Department of International Relations and World Economy, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a PhD in International Relations (8D03105 – International Relations). She is an expert at the Research Center for Regional Relations Analysis. Her main research interests include geopolitical and geoeconomic processes in Central Asia, the challenges and prospects of Kazakhstan–Kyrgyzstan relations, and logistics. From 2020 to 2023, she served as a Senior Advisor at the Faculty of International Relations, where she was responsible for promoting students’ extracurricular and social engagement and encouraging their participation in various student clubs and organizations. She is also a researcher in grant-funded research projects supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
