Байзакова Жулдуз Иртысовна

Zhulduz Baizakova is a graduate of the Faculty of International Relations, Kazakh
National University and holds MSc in International Security and Global Governance at
Birkbeck College, University of London. Starting from 2004 worked in the Ministry for
Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan as the desk officer at the Multilateral
Cooperation Department. Baizakova also joined Near East South Asia Center for
Strategic Studies at the National Defence University as a Visiting Research Scholar
(Fulbright Program) in 2014-2015. Her current academic affiliation is with the
Institute for Security and Cooperation Studies, Kazakh National University, Almaty.
Areas of research cover regional security, including defence and environment issues
of Central Asia.
