Arman Kabdeshuly Zhumadil began his professional career at the Faculty of History, Archaeology, and Ethnology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Upon graduating from this institution in 1990, he worked from 1990 to 1993 as a junior researcher at the Department of Ethnology of the Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During this period, he took part in ethno-social research expeditions in the Almaty, West Kazakhstan, and Zhambyl regions, gaining valuable professional experience. Since 1993, Arman Kabdeshuly has been serving as a lecturer at the Department of History of Kazakhstan, Faculty of History, Archaeology, and Ethnology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. From 2005 to 2010, he held the position of Deputy Dean for Educational Affairs; from 2010 to 2014, he was Deputy Dean for Research, Innovation, and International Cooperation. In 2014–2016, he served as Dean of the Faculty of History, Archaeology, and Ethnology. In 2010, under the supervision of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor D. I. Dulatova, and Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor T. O. Omarbekov, he successfully defended his candidate dissertation entitled “Historiography of the Military Affairs of the Eurasian Nomads.” At the university, he teaches original special and elective courses, including “Military Affairs of the Nomads,” “Military History of Ancient and Medieval Kazakhstan,” and “Methods of Teaching Military History of Ancient and Medieval Kazakhstan.” The academic legacy of Arman Kabdeshuly comprises about 50 scholarly works published in domestic and international outlets, including one monograph and two textbooks. For his long- standing and fruitful contribution to science and education, he was awarded the jubilee badges “Al-Farabi KazNU – 75 years” and “Al-Farabi KazNU – 80 years.”
