Perizat Yelubayeva is a Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and an Associate Professor with 27 years of teaching experience and 15 years of research work. She was honored as the Best University Teacher of Kazakhstan in 2016, holds a CELTA certificate (2017), and received the prestigious Baitursynov Bronze Medal in 2020. Additionally, in 2024, she was a Visiting Professor at the University of California, San Diego, USA, under the "500 Scholars" Kazakh State Program. Her primary research interests lie in Higher Language Education, Didactics, TEFL, intercultural communication, online learning, instructional design, and the integration of media literacy into language education. She is dedicated to exploring innovative trends in curriculum development to meet the evolving priorities of the global and Kazakh education systems. Her current research focuses on empowering Kazakh youth through media literacy as a critical socialization and intercultural communication tool. With over 30 publications in national and international conferences and Web of Science and Scopus-indexed journals, she has also authored four English coursebooks and a monograph titled Modeling of Competence Education in Forming the Intercultural and Communicative Competence of Regional Studies Specialists. She recently secured a state grant for a research project titled Methodology for Integrating Language and Media Education to Develop Media Literacy Among Kazakhstani Youth as a Key Factor in Their Socialization and Intercultural Interaction, (IRNИРН АР19680048) aimed at fostering media literacy as a cornerstone for youth development in Kazakhstan.
