Autobiography

Kairat Bakytzhan is an alumnus of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology (2010–2014), specializing in "Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology." From 2014 to 2016, he pursued a Master's degree in Biology with a specialization in "Applied Biophysics and Physiology." He was awarded the academic degrees of Bachelor of Engineering and Technology and Master of Pedagogical Sciences. From 2019 to 2022, he undertook PhD doctoral studies in "8D05101 - Biology." In 2025, he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation, earning the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). His scientific supervisors were D.Sc., Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, S.T. Tuleukhanov, and D.Sc., Professor V.P. Zinchenko. Kairat B.K's professional journey began in 2012 at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University's Research Institutes of Biology and Biotechnology Problems and Ecology Problems, where he progressed from laboratory assistant to junior research fellow. Concurrently, from 2015 to 2020, he served as the technical secretary for the "Bulletin of KazNU. Biology Series" journal. Since 2017, Kairat Bakhytzhan Kairatuly has been a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine, and Neuroscience, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. He has successfully supervised over 10 Bachelor's diploma theses in Biology and Biomedicine. Kairat Bakytzhan holds the title of "Best Young Scientist of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University." He is a member of the young scientists' working group for the priority scientific direction "Life and Health Sciences" of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the department, he chairs both the Council of Young Scientists (CYS) and Student Research Work (SRW). His research activities focus on current trends in modern biology and biotechnology. He has published over 120 scientific works, including 8 articles indexed in Web of Science and Scopus databases (12 citations, h-index 2). Additionally, he has over 40 articles in journals recommended by the RK Committee and over 30 publications in international conference proceedings (35 presentations). He is the author of textbooks: "Ecological Biophysics" (in Kazakh) and "Collection of Tests on Biophysics" (in Kazakh, Russian, and English). He is proficient in Kazakh, Russian, English, Turkish, and Latin.
