Aliya Meldebekova was born in 1982, Kazakh by nationality. She graduated from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Biology, with a bachelor's degree in 2003, and in 2005 with a master's degree in Biology with honors. From 2005 to 2007, she studied at the graduate program of the Al-Farabi KazNU, and in 2010, she defended her candidate's thesis on the topic "Protein composition and heavy metals in camel milk and colostrum in different regions of Kazakhstan" in the specialty 03.00.04 - biochemistry. Meldebekova A.A. is actively involved in research work. From 2005 to 2009: ECO-NET "The impact of pollutants on the quality of consumed milk" by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 2009-2011. Project of the fundamental research program "Development of scientific and methodological foundations for assessing the content of heavy metals, pesticides and radionuclides in the soil-water- pasture plants-camel milk chain in different regions of Kazakhstan" (registration number №0109РК00154); 2008-2010. Project "Improvement of technologies and development of regulatory documents for national camel milk products in compliance with the requirements of FAO and FIL/IDF" of the M.of Agriculture of the RK; Head of the project "Organization of training on the introduction of international ISO and Codex Alimentarius methods for managing the quality and safety of milk and dairy products" (2011-2012). 2011-2014: researcher of the "Commercialization" project funded by the Ministry of Ed. and Sci.of the Kazakhstan and the World Bank, a grant for a group of junior scientists, 2023: "Biotechnology for the production of biologically active peptides from whey proteins of mare's milk". A.A. Meldebekova's scientific works have been published in domestic and foreign publications with an impact factor, she has published 3 articles in Hirsch indexed journals, 8 in Scopus indexed, and 6 in Web of Science journals. In 2007 and 2012, she completed international scientific internships at the International Center for Agronomic Research (CIRAD, Montpellier, France), Sophia Antipolis University (Nice, France), in 2014, at the Hebrew University Jerusalem (Israel) under the MASHAV program; Angers Higher School of Agronomy (L’Ecole Superieur d’Agriculture, France). In 2017, she became a grantee of the TechWomen-2017 program funded by the US Department of State and improved her skills at the Illumina company (USA) in biotechnology and genome sequencing.
