Dosmurat Akhatovich Burbaev, born in 1988, has an impressive medical background. After
completing his Bachelor’s degree in General Medicine at Karaganda State Medical University
(KSMU) in 2017, he finished his internship in Internal Medicine the same year. In 2020, he
completed a residency in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, including Pediatric
Anesthesiology, at the Kazakh Medical University of Continuing Education.
From August to September 2020, Burbaev worked as an intensive care physician at a
provisional hospital based at the Mental Health Center in Almaty. Then, from September 2020
to January 2021, he continued his work at the Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital in Almaty
as an anesthesiologist-intensivist.
Starting from January 2021, he worked at the Phthisiopulmonology Center, which had been
temporarily repurposed as a hospital for treating COVID-19 patients, where he remained until
February 2022. During this time, he also served as the Acting Head of the Department of
Anesthesiology and Intensive Care.
Since June 2022, Burbaev has been working at Mediker International Hospital LLP as an
anesthesiologist-intensivist. His total work experience, including residency, amounts to 7
years and 10 months. He has extensive experience in on-call duties in intensive care units
and critical care, as well as in providing anesthetic support for both emergency and planned
surgeries.
Since February 2022, he has also been a full-time faculty member at the Department of
Clinical Disciplines of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
