Autobiography

I, Sholpan Abilkassimovna Tankaeva, was born in 1987. In 2011, I graduated from the Kazakh National Medical University named after S. D. Asfendiyarov with a degree in Pediatrics and completed an internship in 2011–2012. I hold a valid certificate as a pediatrician. From 2012 to 2014, I completed a residency in “Neurology, including Pediatric Neurology” at KazMUNO and received certification as a pediatric neurologist. From 2014 to 2016, I earned a Master’s degree in “Medicine, scientific and pedagogical direction.” My thesis topic was “Algorithm for Providing Assistance to Children with Seizure Syndrome at the Pre-Hospital Stage.” In 2016, I was awarded the degree of Master of Medical Sciences. From 2015 to 2018, I worked in emergency departments at City Children's Clinical Hospital No. 2 in Almaty and on ambulance teams. I also gained experience at international clinics (International SOS, AMC), working with adult and pediatric patients, maintaining medical documentation in English. Since 2024, I have been working as a general practitioner and pediatric neurologist in a private clinic. I began teaching in 2014. Since 2020, I have been a senior lecturer at the Department of Clinical Disciplines, Higher School of Medicine, Al-Farabi KazNU. I teach courses in Russian and English, including “Pharmacology for Dentists,” “Integrated Clinical Diagnostics,” and “Pathology of the Nervous System.” I am the course leader for “Pathology of the Respiratory System.” I participate in developing syllabi, TBL sessions, MCQs, and OSCE scenarios. I also serve as a student advisor. Since 2024, I have been Deputy Chair of the Academic Committee for the educational process at the Faculty of Medicine and Health. I have completed professional development courses in modern teaching methods and international CME programs. I am fluent in Russian, have an Upper Intermediate level of English, and B1 level of Kazakh.
