Omar Aruzhan
I was born on June 6, 1995, in Sharafkent village, Tyulkybas District, Turkistan Region, Kazakhstan.
From 2001 to 2012, I completed my secondary education.
Between 2012 and 2016, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Astronomy at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
From 2016 to 2018, I completed a Master’s degree in Physics and Astronomy, during which I actively engaged in scientific research.
From 2019 to 2022, I undertook doctoral studies and successfully defended my PhD dissertation in 2025.
During my Master’s studies, I completed international research internships at:
• Max Planck Institute for Astronomy (Heidelberg, Germany), 2017;
• Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory (China), 2017.
During my PhD program, I also completed an academic internship at Nazarbayev University (conducted remotely due to quarantine
restrictions).
Currently, I serve as a Senior Lecturer at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and contribute to several scientific research projects.
My research focuses on radio astronomy, the physics of high-mass star-forming regions, and the structure and kinematics of the
interstellar medium.
I am married and the mother of two sons.
