Dr.Zaure Dushimova graduated from the Pediatric Faculty of the Almaty State Medical Institute (ASMI) in 1995. From 1989 to 1993, she studied at the Leningrad State Pediatric Medical Institute. From 1995 to 1997, she completed a clinical residency at the Scientific Center for Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery (NCP and PS) specializing in "Pediatrics with advanced study in Gastroenterology." From 1997 to 2002, she pursued PhD studies at NCP and PS, and in 2003, she defended her dissertation, obtaining the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences in the specialty 14.00.09 – Pediatrics. Since 2002, Dr. Dushimova has been employed in the Department of Oncohematology at NCP and PS. In 2007, she was appointed Head of the Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory at NCP and PS. In 2009, she assumed the role of Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs at NCP and PS. Since 2011, she has been a Research affiliate at the Central Asian Forum, Jesus College, University of Cambridge, UK. Since 2018, she has served as Head of the International Department at the Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology. From 2019 to 2022, she held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board for Scientific and Strategic Work at JSC KazIOR. Additionally, she has worked as a faculty member at the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Oncology at the S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU). Dr. Dushimova has undertaken training and internships in the fields of genetics, cytogenetics, and molecular biology in the Republic of Belarus, as well as at the III Hematology Clinic of Charité University Hospital. In 2008, she completed studies in research management at Columbia University, New York, USA, and in healthcare management at the London School of Business and Finance. She holds certifications in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). She has actively contributed to the development and implementation of scientific and technical programs for the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MOH RK), the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MES RK), international grants, clinical studies, diagnostic and treatment protocols, and standards. Dr. Dushimova is the author of more than 30 scientific publications and has been recognized as an Outstanding Healthcare Professional. She holds the highest category of specialization as a Hematologist and Oncologist.
