Abdibek Zhetpisovich Amirov was born on April 24, 1971. Nationality-Kazakh. In 1994, he graduated from the Philological Faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a degree in Philology, teacher of the Kazakh language and literature. Since 1999, he has been working at the Faculty of Philology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2002, he defended his PhD thesis on specialty 10.02.02 – Kazakh language on the topic "The role of the Kazakh press in the formation of terminology from 1990 to 2000." In 2000-2002 he published the auxiliary manual "Kazakh language", in 2002 - "terminology collection", in 2016 - "Kazakh terminology and the press", in 2024 - monographs "Kazakh terminology", etc. To date, more than 60 scientific and methodological articles have been published. Amirov A. Zh. conducts lectures and seminars at the bachelor's degree in the disciplines of "Kazakh terminology", "Terminology of the Kazakh language", "Methods of teaching Kazakh lexicography and terminology", "History of the Kazakh literary language", "The role of the Kazakh press in the formation of terms". Total work experience of 35 years, scientific and pedagogical experience of 30 years. Amirov A. Zh. actively participates in social and educational work, does his job responsibly. In the 2012-2013 academic year, he worked as Deputy head of the Department of Kazakh Philology for academic, methodological and educational work, in the 2020-2021, 2021-2022 academic year - Deputy head of the Department for Scientific and Innovative Work and international cooperation. From the academic year 2023-2024, he has been the head of the Department of Kazakh Linguistics named after A. Baitursynov at the Faculty of Philology.
