Abdullayeva Assel Sabitkyzy graduated with honors from the Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I. Satbayev (Satbayev University) in 2016, specializing in "Water Resources and Water Use." In 2019, she successfully completed her master’s degree in Hydrology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, defending her master’s thesis. On June 18, 2024, A.S. Abdullayeva defended her PhD dissertation in Hydrology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Since 2023, she has been working as a lecturer at the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences at Al- Farabi Kazakh National University. A.S. Abdullayeva is the Chair of the Academic Committee and Coordinator of the “7M05220-Water Diplomacy” educational program. Her research focuses on the assessment and management of mudflow risks, the application of GIS technologies for determining hydrological characteristics, and the modeling of hydrological processes. She is the author of 10 scientific publications, three of which are indexed in international databases such as Scopus, h-index - 2. Since 2024, she has held the position of Deputy Head of the Department for Scientific and Innovation Activities and International Relations at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
