Autobiography

Dr. Janar Jenis, Director, Professor of The Research Center for Medicinal Plants, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU), and obtained her PhD (2006-2009) in organo-metalic chemistry, catalyze and plant chemistry, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. After PhD, Dr. Janar was appointed as assistant professor at Faculty of Chemsitry and Chemical technology of KazNU. From 2010 to 2012, she trained at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hoshi University, Tokyo, Japan. In 2014-2016, Dr. Janar worked as a visiting researcher at the Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China. And from 2016 to 2018, she continued her research work as senior researcher at the Division of Applied Life Science, Gyeongsang National University, Republic of Korea. Between 2018-2019, she worked as a visiting scientist (PIFI) at the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. Her scientific area is related on isolation, as well as the biological assessment and modification of natural compounds derived from medicinal plants used in Kazakh Medicine and study of the structural analysis of bioactive natural products, using modern 2D NMR and MS spectroscopic techniques. Janar Jenis has been the principal and co-supervisor of several national and international research projects and author of more than 50 scientific publications. Same time she is a membership of The American Society of Pharmacognosy (ASP), Asian Society of Natural Products (ASNP).
