Doszhan Balabekuly was born on April 24, 1993, in the village of Ernazar, Zhambyl District, Zhambyl Region. He is a graduate of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2015, he completed his bachelor's degree in «Publishing» at the Faculty of Journalism, followed by a master's degree in «Journalism» in 2017. In 2020, he earned a PhD in Philosophy after completing his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science in the field of «Philosophy». He started his career in 2013 at the «Qazaq University» newspaper of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where he served as Editor-in-Chief. Over the years, he worked as a web editor for the national socio-political newspaper «Aikyn» and in the online editorial office of «Қазақ газеттері» LLP. Currently, he is an acting associate professor at the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Doszhan Balabekuly is a member of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, the «Photooner» Public Association, and the Kazakhstan Authors' Society (KazAK). He is the winner of numerous international, national, and city photo contests. In 2022, he received the Rakhymbai Khanaly Prize of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan. Author of the photo album "Farabi universiteti-90" and the textbook "Secrets of the horizons of Alatau". For his contribution to fostering public harmony and national unity, he was awarded the «Meirim» medal by the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan (2020) and the «Farabi» gold medal (2024) for his outstanding contributions to science.
