I, Alexandr Pavlovich Ryaguzov, was born on July 22, 1964, in the Kyrgyz Republic. I am a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 1989, I graduated from the Kazakh National University named after S.M. Kirov with a major in Physics. From the early years of my studies, I began conducting scientific research in the field of condensed matter physics. On October 22, 2004, I successfully defended my Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences dissertation titled “Study of the Influence of Short- and Medium-Range Structural Order on the Electronic Properties of Arsenic Sulfide and Arsenic Selenide” under the specialty 01.04.07 — Condensed Matter Physics. My Hirsch index according to Scopus is 8. Professional and Scientific Activity My professional career has been closely connected with the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where I have been working since 1989: 1986 – Physics teacher at Secondary School No. 16 in Aktau (formerly Shevchenko). 1989 – Research staff member at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. 1995 – Senior Researcher at the Research Institute of Experimental and Theoretical Physics (RIETP), Department of Solid State Physics, Al-Farabi KazNU. 12.08.2008 – 28.12.2010 – Director of the State Enterprise with the Right of Economic Management “National Open-Type Nanotechnology Laboratory” at Al-Farabi KazNU. From 01.01.2011 – Leading Specialist of the Department of Solid State Physics and Materials Science at Al-Farabi KazNU. From 01.09.2011 to present – Head of the Laboratory of Optical Research Methods of the National Open-Type Nanotechnology Laboratory (NNTL) at Al-Farabi KazNU. Over the years, I have published more than 130 scientific papers in national and international journals, including peer-reviewed publications. From 1991 to 2017, I participated in 17 scientific research projects, among them: “Physical Properties of Solids”; “Structural Self-Organization in Semiconductors”; “Electronic Processes in Condensed Media”; “Structural and Impurity Modification of Amorphous Chalcogenide Semiconductor Films”; NATO for Peace — Creation of New Strong Metal/Polyimide Films with Definable Reflectivity; ISTC projects, fundamental and applied studies.
