Sabit Daubassov was born on January 16, 1975, in the village of Georgievka, Tolebi District, Turkestan Region. He is Vice President of the National Law Academy, Academician of the National Law Academy, Candidate of Legal Sciences, and Associate Professor. He graduated with honors from Secondary School No. 37 named after Furkat in Shymkent. In 1996, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a degree in Jurisprudence. In 1998, he completed his Master’s studies at the same university and was awarded a Master of Law degree. From 1998 to 2004, he worked at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, holding positions as Senior Lecturer, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law for educational affairs, and Assistant to the Rector. In 2005, he defended his PhD dissertation in the field of international law and was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Legal Sciences. From 2005 to 2009, he served as Head of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines at D. A. Kunaev University. From 2009 to 2012, he held the positions of Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Relations and Law, as well as Deputy Director of the Institute of Law and Economics at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University for academic and international affairs. From 2012 to 2018, he headed the organizational and control division.
