Autobiography

Alimkulov Yerbol was born on August 31, 1983, in the Shieli district of the Kyzylorda region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 1997, he graduated from Secondary School No. 1 in Kyzylorda and in the same year was admitted to the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. He graduated with honors from the bachelor’s program in 2001 and received his master’s degree with honors in 2003, successfully defending his master’s thesis. From 2003 to 2005, he pursued postgraduate studies. In 2006, he was appointed as a lecturer at the Department of Judicial Authority and Criminal Procedure of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2009, under the supervision of Doctor of Law, Professor K.Kh. Khalikov, and Doctor of Law, Professor T.K. Aitmukhametov, Y.T. Alimkulov defended his candidate dissertation titled “Judicial Proceedings in Criminal Cases Involving Minors” in the specialty 12.00.09 – Criminal Procedure, Forensics, Theory of Operative-Search Activities. Since September 2011, he has served as Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Forensics at the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Since September 1, 2017, he has held the position of Deputy Head of the Department for Research, Innovation, and International Cooperation. Y.T. Alimkulov teaches in the Kazakh-language division, delivering lectures and conducting seminar classes for the courses: “Professional Ethics of a Lawyer,” “Advocacy,” “Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” and “Theory of Judicial Evidence.” He actively participates in international scientific and practical conferences, delivering various reports, and has published more than 50 scholarly articles in journals recommended by the Committee for Control in the Sphere of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as articles indexed in the Scopus database.
