Zhakypov A. S. graduated from the bachelor’s and master’s programs of the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the specialties “5B071000 — Materials Science and Technology of New Materials” and “8D07112 — Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies,” respectively. He completed his master’s thesis on the topic “Development of a Nanostructured Metamaterial Model and Analysis of Its Properties by Numerical Simulation.” Zhakypov Alibek Serikuly is a PhD Doctor in the specialty “6D072300 — Technical Physics.” The topic of his PhD dissertation is “Energy-Independent Memory Elements for Optical and Electrical Information Recording Based on Modified GST Films.” His research area is semiconductor physics, in particular the electrical and optical properties of chalcogenide nanoscale semiconductors, the fabrication of nanoscale structures by ion-plasma magnetron sputtering, and the synthesis of semiconductor nanoparticles by the method of electrical discharge in liquids. He completed research internships under Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Konstantin Damdinovich Tsendin and Professor Alexander Vladimirovich Kolobov, who are leading specialists in the field of chalcogenide disordered semiconductors.
