Autobiography
Dmitry Yurievich Sokolov, born in 1987, graduated from secondary school No. 100 in Almaty in 2004 and in the same year entered the full-time department of the physics department of KazNU. al-Farabi. During his undergraduate studies he showed good academic performance. He mastered the material on the disciplines of specialization and successfully passed the exams. In 2008 he defended his graduate work on the topic: "Methods for verifying bimetallic thermometers." For 4 years, as part of a student team, he played in volleyball competitions. From 2004 to 2006 he passed military training at the military department at KazNU. In 2008 he entered the magistracy at the full-time department at the Faculty of Physics of KazNU. al-Farabi. Completed a master's thesis on the topic: "A set of laboratory work on the metrological support of electrical measurements." Sokolov D.Yu. developed descriptions and selection of instruments for 9 laboratory works on metrology and standardization, on which work is being carried out to this day. After graduating from the magistracy from 2010 to 2011, he worked as a specialist at the Faculty of Physics. In 2014 he defended his PhD thesis at the Faculty of Physics and Technology; during his studies, he worked as a teacher in the Department of Thermophysics and Technical Physics. 2011 to 2021 participates in the implementation of grants of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in priority areas: Basic research in the field of natural sciences, Energy and Information systems. Since 2020, he is the head of the own topic of grants of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Has more than 50 scientific publications in republican and foreign editions. Of these, 18 articles are in publications included in the Thomson Reuters database (Hirsch Index = 6) and 36 in publications included in the Scopus database (Hirsch Index = 6). Sokolov D.Yu. during his studies and work, he showed a penchant for research work and the social life of the faculty, was disciplined, independent, spoke at international scientific conferences and took an active part in the implementation of government projects. In his work he is accurate, efficient and responsible.
