Autobiography

Aitkozhaev A.Z. graduated from the Faculty of Physics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 1979. Following job placement, he was employed at the Department of Thermal Physics and Molecular Physics in the same year. At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, he worked as a research associate from 1979 to 1990, and as a senior lecturer and associate professor from 1993 to 2013. His total professional experience is 44 years. In 1993, he defended his Candidate of Sciences (PhD equivalent) dissertation titled “Diffusion and Instability in Multicomponent Mixtures with Liquefied Gases at High Pressures” in the specialty 01.04.14 — Thermal Physics and Molecular Physics, and was awarded the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. He delivers lectures to bachelor’s and master’s students in general and specialized courses including “Kinetic Theory,” “Equilibrium Properties of Substances,” “Physics of Real Gases and Liquids,” “Regulatory Documents Norm Control,” and “Molecular Physics.” He conducts lectures, practical classes, and specialized laboratory sessions in Kazakh and Russian. He supervises teaching and industrial internships, course projects, diploma theses, and master’s theses. His research interests focus on heat and mass transfer processes in gases. He is the author of 35 scientific publications and 2 teaching and methodological manuals. In recent years, he has been a researcher in a fundamental research program of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For many years, he has served as chairman and jury member, organizer, and problem author of physics Olympiads for 1st–2nd year university students. He has also long participated as chairman and member of the jury of city, national, and international physics Olympiads for school students. In 2013, he conducted a ten-day physics course for school students and teachers of the Alakol district.
