Graduated from the Faculty of English at the Almaty Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages and completed postgraduate studies at APIFL in 1980. Successfully defended her PhD thesis in 1983. In 1996 was awarded the title of Associate Professor. Since 1998, she has been working at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Philology. She is the author of 50 scientific publications in the fields of foreign language teaching methodology, comparative phraseology, and lexicology.
