Kusainov A.S., Kazakh, born in 1976. In 1998, he defended his diploma thesis on the
topic of "Optical analog computers based on holographic optical elements", and in
2000, his master's thesis on the topic of "Theoretical foundations of
superconductivity at room temperature" at the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear
Physics, Physics and Technology Faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
Candidate of Technical Sciences, completed postgraduate studies at the Department of
Optics and Plasma Physics and defended his dissertation on the topic of "Methods of
mathematical modeling and analysis of the physical process of forming holographic
optical elements". He has a second higher education in economics.
In 2008, he received a doctorate in medical physics PhD from Vanderbilt University,
USA. He is fluent and teaches in English. Average score is 7.5 on the IELTS
certificate.
Since 2009, he has been working as a senior lecturer at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National
University in the Department of Nuclear Physics and Cosmic Radiation, later the
Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics.
Engaged in parallel and high-performance computing in physics. Also, works in the
field of big data processing and the development of Android applications for
scientific measurements.
From 2013 to 2017, he led two scientific projects on quantum computing. Currently, he
is an executor in two scientific projects from the Institute of Nuclear Physics and
the Institute of Seismology.
Kusainov A.S. has published more than 80 scientific articles as the first author and
in co-authorship, has a textbook, patents and author's certificates in the field of
optical analog computing, holography and parallel computing. Many of them are indexed
in the Scopus database and in journals recommended by the KOKSNVO.
Curator-adviser. Actively teaches using modern distance education technologies,
introduces Coursera into the educational process.
