E.R. Kogay graduated with honors from S.M. Kirov KazSU in 1991 with a degree in Russian language and Literature, completed full-time postgraduate studies at the Department of Russian Philology in 1995, and has been working as a teacher at Al-Farabi KazNU since September 1995. In 1996, he successfully defended his PhD thesis on 'Metaphor as a universal means of creating an individual author's picture of the world in the works of A. Kim', specialty 10.02.01. - Russian language. Scientific and pedagogical experience in KazNU is 29 years. Author of more than eighty scientific papers published in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Belarus, Slovakia, Belgium in Russian and English, including: 4 monographs (co-authored), 1 master's textbook 'Metaphor as a means of creating an individual author's picture of the world', 2 bachelor's textbooks: 'Typology translations of names', 'Difficult issues of lexicology of the modern Russian language', 73 scientific articles, as well as 'Credit training system (document management)'. He has 3 author's certificates. Participated in the implementation of grant No. 0878 / GF 3 'Prose and poetry of Kazakhstan in the 1970s-2000s in the context of Central Asian literature' of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
