Nurzhanova Zhanna Sovetkhanovna - associate professor (specialty 050205 - philology: Russian language) of the department of Russian philology and world literature of the philological faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, candidate of philological sciences. Nurzhanova Zh.S. Graduated from the Faculty of Philology of KazNU. al-Farabi in 1996. From 1996 to 1998 she studied in graduate school at the department of general linguistics. Under the guidance of Doctor of Philological Sciences N.Zh.Shaimerdenova, in 2001 she defended her candidate’s thesis “Direct and figurative color designation (comparative historical research)” in the specialty 02/10/20 - comparative historical, typological and comparative linguistics. Member of KazPRYAL) since 1998. Participant of the project "Scientists of Kazakhstan". Has experience working in the “Flagman” program, implemented at the Faculty of Philology. In 2014-2020, she worked in the program under the Treaty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (based on the Faculty of International Relations) with the American Councils (USA, Washington). Currently he is the developer of the general education program “Russian as a Foreign Language” (Bachelor’s degree). She is also a curator of certified courses at the self-supporting multidisciplinary scientific and innovation center for educational services Glossa, which runs a summer school and courses throughout the calendar year. The Glossa Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation Center for Educational Services has entered into an international agreement with Carleton College (USA, Minnesota). Since 2023, it has been implementing a project to educate American students. From 2015 to 2018 as a performer Nurzhanova Zh.S. took part in the research work “Development of an innovative social and humanitarian cluster of discourse strategies and tools of influence in the field of social practices” under the grant funding program for scientific research of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2021, she underwent professional retraining at Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov, specialty “Methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language.” I have a diploma in teaching Russian as a foreign language. Her scientific interests include problems of comparative historical linguistics, translation, cognitive science, language theory, cultural linguistics, and psycholinguistics. Has article indexed in the Scopus database.
