Autobiography

My name is Nagima Zhaulybaykyzy Baitenova. I was born on January 2, 1952, in the village of Makanchi, Semipalatinsk region, Kazakhstan. I am Kazakh by nationality and a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 1970, I entered the Faculty of Philosophy and Economics at Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov and graduated in 1975 with a degree in Philosophy. From 1977 to 1979, I completed a research internship at the Department of Philosophy. In 1994–1997, I pursued doctoral studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and received my Doctor of Philosophy degree (Diploma № ҒД 0001113). I began my career in 1969 as a court session secretary at the Makanchi District Court. From 1975 to 1980, I worked as a lecturer at the Rudny Industrial Institute. Since 1980, I have been working at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University as a lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor, professor, and head of department. My academic title is Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor (since September 4, 2000, PR №0002116). I am the author and co-author of numerous textbooks, encyclopedias, and monographs in the fields of religious studies, philosophy, and cultural studies. I have received several awards, including the badge "For Contribution to the Development of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (2008), the title "Best Teacher" (2007, 2014), the international scholarship "Bolashak" (2013–2014, United Kingdom), the anniversary medal "75 years of Al-Farabi KazNU" (2009), the “Eren enbegi ushin” medal (2019), and the Al-Farabi Silver Medal (2021).
