Autobiography

Associate Professor of the Department of General and Applied Psychology at Al-Farabi KazNU – Laura Orazbekovna Baimoldina (born November 9, 1982). L.O. Baimoldina graduated with honors from VKSU in 2003, and in 2005, she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science at Al-Farabi KazNU, earning a Master's degree in Psychology. Since 2005, she has worked in the Department of General and Ethnic Psychology at Al-Farabi KazNU. From 2005 to 2013, she was a lecturer and senior lecturer in the Department of Ethnic and Educational Psychology, and from 2010 to 2024, she served as Acting Professor. Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer in the Department of General and Applied Psychology, Deputy Head of the Department for Academic Affairs (2015- 2019), Deputy Head of the Department for Research, Innovation, and International Cooperation (2014-2015, 2019-2022, 2025-present). From 2008-2010, she served as Executive Secretary of the KazNU Bulletin, Psychology and Sociology series. She teaches courses such as "Social Psychology," "Management Psychology," "Organizational Psychology," "General Psychology," "Emotions and Health," and others in the Department of Psychology. L.O. Baimoldina She is engaged in research activities, actively participates in international and national conferences, and in 2013 defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the specialty 6D050300-Psychology on the topic "Ethnopsychological Features of the Socio-Legal Activity and Acculturation of Young Kazakh Repatriates." She participated in the translations of volumes 2-4 and 6-9 for the Cultural Heritage program. She is the author and compiler of the standard programs "Psychology of Management" (Master's degree) and "Psychology" (Bachelor's degree) in the specialty "5B050300-Psychology," the coordinator of the educational program "Personality and Organizational Psychology" (Master's degree), and a member of the Academic Committee on Social Sciences. She participated in the following projects: • 2008 "Psychophysiological Study of Emotional Intelligence." • 2014-2015 "The Mechanism of Adaptation of Internal Migrants in a Megacity and Ways to Address the Problem of Disadvantages of the Marginalized Population of Almaty." • 2021-2023. "A Psychophysiological Study of Sensitivity to Radical Attitudes Using a Polygraph and Primary Prevention of Student Radicalism." To date (since 2005), she has published over 110 scientific publications.
