Minglibayev M.Zh. was born on December 14, 1954, in the Turkestan region (formerly South Kazakhstan region). He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Applied Mathematics of Kazakh State University with a degree in Mechanics in 1976. After university, he completed postgraduate studies at the Astrophysical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR in the specialty "01.03.01 – Astrometry and Celestial Mechanics." He worked within the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and in various governmental and private institutions. In 1989, he successfully defended his candidate dissertation on the topic "Model Problems in Celestial Mechanics of Bodies with Variable Mass" at Kazakh State University in the specialty "01.02.01 – Theoretical Mechanics." In December 2006, he defended his doctoral dissertation titled "Analytical Dynamics of Translational-Rotational Motion of Gravitating Bodies with Variable Masses and Sizes" in the specialty "01.03.01 – Astrometry and Celestial Mechanics," within the field of Celestial Mechanics. He has worked at various higher education institutions and research organizations in Kazakhstan. He was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in "01.02.00 – Mechanics" in April 2010 and the title of Professor in the same specialty in December 2011. In 2014, he was awarded the jubilee medal “80 Years of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University” for his contributions to the development of the university. In 2021, he was honored with the medal “For Outstanding Service” for his contributions to the development of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2024, he received the badge "For Merits in the Development of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan" from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since September 1, 2008, Minglibayev M. Zh. has been working as a professor in the Department of Mechanics at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
