Yeldos Tokkozhauly Kozhagulov (Yeldos Kozhagulov), PhD, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Electronics and Astrophysics, Faculty of Physics and Technology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2018, he defended his PhD dissertation entitled “Neural Networks with Scale-Invariant Properties” in the specialty 6D071900 – Radio Engineering, Electronics, and Telecommunications. The research was supervised by Professor Z.Zh. Zhanabayev, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, T.Yu. Gvertseva, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, as well as international professors Igor Timofeev (Department of Psychiatry and Neuroscience, Université Laval) and Michael A. Zaks (Department of Statistical Physics and Nonlinear Dynamics, Humboldt University of Berlin). His main research interests include nonlinear physics, digital signal processing, programming of logic integrated circuits, neural networks and machine learning, intelligent data processing systems, methods and technologies of artificial intelligence, as well as modern information theory and entropy. From 2017 to 2019, Y.T. Kozhagulov served as the principal investigator of a commercialization project under the “Stimulating Productive Innovations” program entitled “Machine Vision Based on an Adaptive Self-Organizing Neural Network”. The project was successfully implemented and completed. He has also acted as a key researcher in a number of grant-funded and contract-based research projects, including: “Development of a Hardware– Software System for Voice and Speech Phonogram Identification Using Multifractal and Information-Entropy Analysis of Chaotic Signals”; “1100/GF – Frequency, Information, and Energy Efficiency of Ultra-Wideband Telecommunication Systems”; “1513/GF3 – Chaotic Structure in Signals of Variable Stars, Solar Radio Emission, and Matter Distribution in Galaxies”; “3084/GF4 – Development of Neural Networks with a Self-Organizing Electronic Element”. His professional career began in 2011 at the Research Institute of Experimental and Theoretical Physics, where he worked as a laboratory assistant, engineer, and research scientist. His teaching career started in 2013 as a lecturer at the Department of Solid State Physics and Nonlinear Physics, Faculty of Physics and Technology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
